Frequently Asked Questions
I have a family! Do you do anything besides weddings?
Kaylee here - Absolutely. I have a passion for capturing FAMILY, as it is. If you're a parent, then you know that children are possibly the most tangible, breathtaking displays of love and joy... Uh, and they're annoying little jerks. If you're worried, honestly, I don't care. Kids don't phase me. But sometimes it bothers parents to the point of not capturing their child's personality. To make things easy, I'm happy to come to your house or to your local park - and spend about 20-30 minutes with you. That's about all kids can handle, and then we can break out some oreos + milk, or play on the swing-set. It's just important to me that you don't miss out on their hullabaloo by being too busy in 2018. IMHO we need to lock those memories down!
I offer family sessions starting at $150.
How many weddings have you shot?
We have worked with approximately 75 couples! Each year, we change our goals and numbers around, but it's been almost 3 years now, and 20-30 per year is the number we find works best for "life balance," or whatever.
How many images do you provide?
3-4 Hr. Package: approx. 250+ photos
6 Hr. Package: approx. 500+ photos
8 Hr. Package: approx. 700+ photos
Engagement + Family sessions:
approx. 100 photos minimum
We never under-deliver on images. There is just no earthly reason for us to keep any photos from you, unless it is blurry or absolutely unflattering.
When and how will we get our images? (Can we have the RAWs?)
ASAP. We hate sitting on images, so for engagement and family sessions, it's 1-2 weeks. Weddings are delivered in 3-5 weeks. You'll get them in a clean and easy online gallery. You can share it with anyone, easily post to Facebook, order prints, pick your favorites for albums... USBs suck, they're just so easy to loose. This way, it's instant, and backed up for at least 5 years.
Annnd nope. You can't. That's like asking a baker if you can have the ingredients for your wedding cake ahead of time, or asking your seamstress to send the dress unassembled. Like, wut. It'd be useless to you, and the RAWs are just that. Not usable, not pretty, not finished, not quality. Trust us! We got you covered with the highest quality jpegs.
Are albums worth it?
Albums are "LEGEN-wait-for-it-DARY!" The first time Kaylee saw our wedding photos printed, she cried. She says, "It's a different feeling, to tangibly hold the memories you hold so dear! Ask to see our sample album, please! It's gorg."
We can make albums for you, or send you to a really easy to use, quality website.
How much is the retainer?
$500. It's the non refundable portion and paired with the contract, gets your date secured.
Can I see a full gallery?
YESSSS. Ask us! Is there one in particular? We're happy to share, but only with seriously bookin' babes.
Do you travel?
Yes again! We love traveling almost as much as we love being home. (Thank God for airplanes and airbnb, amirite?) We do have to charge something to cover our travel, but we're thrifty peeps. Just ask!
Do you have insurance?
Yeah. We like feeling legally and financially secure about ourselves and you.
What happens if you get sick on my wedding day? (Or there's a HURRICANE.)
*knocks on wood* It hasn't happened. We attempt to take REAL good care of our bodies, but obviously sick is sick, right? We have a strong network of 3-5 photographers, ready to back us up if needed. We're there for them, they're there for us. The community MATTERS to us, so those relationships are real.
Now when it comes to hurricane season... If you read carefully, our contract allows us to evacuate and leave a week before your wedding. YES, even if you decide to be crazy AF and have your dangerous outdoor beach wedding anyway. We hate to be cutthroat, but if it comes down to such a hard decision, we are going to protect our home, family, and business' livelihood before we risk driving out in hurricane force winds. If your a local, then you remember: Irma was scary.
We're mega awkward in front of the camera, howbowdah?
SO ARE WE. Hi, welcome to the club. As it turns out, no one is really that great in front of the camera... even models need guidance sometimes. Since we're so uncomfortable in front of the camera, we really have put a good bit of time into learning good, technical, visually pleasing posing. We'll guide you through a few basic poses and you'll realize that it's really a lot of looking at us, looking at each other, telling dirty jokes, and laughing at us be goofs. To see a small taste of what a wedding day would feel like, we definitely recommend hitting up an engagement session. You'll catch on to the poses, we'll catch on to your personalities, and both of us will feel a lot more comfy about pulling out some "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" jokes on a stressful wedding day.
